Product Description
Includes 15XT pistol and Daisy Electronic Point Sight! Daisy's Powerline 15XT CO2 BB pistol shoots 15 shots as fast as you can pull the trigger! It makes a great pistol for firearms training, but you'll want to shoot it for fun, too. The built-in magazine is easy to load, so you spend more time shooting and less time fiddling with small clips. The synthetic frame has checkering on the pistol grips. Because the gun is ambidextrous, anyone can shoot it. Never shoot BBs at metal objects!... Click the Ammo link to stock up on BBs. Check the Accessories link for CO2 cartridges, a lithium battery (for the red dot), targets, maintenance items and safety gear.... Includes 15XT pistol and red dot sight! 15-shot CO2 BB pistol, built-in magazine, truly ambidextrous....

5 out of 5 stars Packs a Wallop   July 29, 2008

This Daisy model is a lot of gun for the money. With a muzzle velocity of 420-450 fps, it's no toy. Shooting glasses are mandatory: even a ricochet could do serious damage. Besides packing a wallop, it's reasonably accurate for a smooth bore BB pistol. And it has the look and feel of "the real thing". Only time will tell whether the reliability of the pistol's performance will match the quality of its physical appearance.

Installing the required CO2 cartridge is easy. Manually loading the 15-shot magazine is a pain, so get an auto loader. The "red dot" sight couldn't be easier to use - put the red dot on the target and fire. One caveat when sighting in: the adjustment screws on the sight adjust continuously, not by clicks, so be sure to observe the positions of the slots in the screw heads before beginning calibration. The only problem I've had so far occurred while sighting in. I tried to squeeze-off my shots very slowly: what I got was a tiny little "tink" and a BB slowly rolling out the barrel. It may be that the action will loosen up some with use and eliminate this problem, but for initial sighting-in, use a smooth, steady pull, just not too slow.

One last caveat regards rapid fire, which I haven't personally verified. The literature states that the cooling effect as the C02 decompresses upon firing can reduce pressure in the firing chamber, resulting in reduced muzzle velocity for subsequent shots. So, if consistent muzzle velocity is important to you, you might want to check further on this.
