Powered by CO2, Crosman's .22 caliber 2260 rifle has power to spare! This lightweight gun is easy to cock, making it ideal for all-day shooting and eliminating very small rodents. The iron sights suit most any shooting situation, but you'll get even more accuracy if you mount a scope (459MT is required). Whether you enjoy plinking for hours, shooting paper targets or driving pests out of your backyard, you'll grab for this gun because it's uncomplicated and always ready to go.The 2260's stock is made of American hardwood and makes a nifty starter rifle for young shooters (adult supervision required) or smaller adults.... This model is popular and I agree. The wood stock is nice looking making the rifle more attractive. It does not look like an "awesome" rifle, it looks tamed. But when you shoot that first shot, you know it's not tamed. Mine will shoot 35/36 shots/CO2 powerlet at constant velocity (I don't own a Chrony, nor am I that insterested in testing velocity.) Remember, this is a .22. My only complaint is the rear sight, which is a peep sight looking through a clear plastic. Over all it's a good, accurate, easy to operate single shot bolt action rifle. No additional gadget to buy. However, if you want to put any kind of scope or red dot, you need to buy a rail mount.
